The midfielder is still on cloud nine after getting his first ever Bafana Bafana call-up on Thursday for the September 5 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritania.
But of greater importance right now is the clash against Leopards at Orlando Stadium, with a win or a draw enough to see the Buccaneers progress to the semi-finals.
“Obviously I’m excited to have received the call-up, but one must not lose touch with the bigger picture,” he tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“My focus right now and the team’s focus is entirely on the game against AC Leopards because we really want to clinch our spot in the semi-finals.
“Leopards still have a chance because they won their last game, but if you look at us, we have sort of already qualified. But we will go all out and try to get the maximum points because we want to finish on top the group.
“They will come here and want to give themselves a chance by beating us, but we also want to top the group so it is going to be a very intense affair.”
