Orlando Pirates could land Al Ahly or Raja Casablanca in CAF Confederation Cup draw

The draw that throws the second-round losers of the CAF Champions League into the CAF Confederation Cup takes place on Tuesday, May 5 at 10h00 (SA time).

And after Egyptian giants Al Ahly lost 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate draw with Moroccan club Moghreb Tetouan, there is a chance they could be drawn to face the Buccaneers as they enter the second-tier competition.

Ahly beat Pirates 3-1 in the Champions League Final in 2013, with legendary Egypt striker Mohamed Aboutrika netting a brace over the two legs.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs' conquerers in the Champions League this season Raja Casablanca went out to holders Entente Setif after a 4-1 penalty shootout win.

Raja and AC Leopards also enter the 16-team draw for the CAF Confedration Cup and could draw Pirates in the playoffs for the group stage.

The remaining five teams from the CAF Champions League to enter the draw will be decided on Sunday, with Mamelodi Sundowns' victors TP Mazembe playing against Stade Malien.
