The Buccaneers are on the verge of reaching the last four following a 2-0 win against CS Sfaxien at Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening.
In fact, a win for Zamalek on Sunday would have seen Pirates qualify, but the Egyptians lost 1-0 to AC Leopards.
Pirates famously lost to Al-Ahly in the 2013 CAF Champions League Final, and Manyisa says they want another crack at the African giants.
“As players we told ourselves that we want to go as far as possible, so reaching the semifinal is something great for us,” ‘Ace says’. “But we will take it one game at a time. We are hoping to play against Al-Ahly again.”
Manyisa also again downplayed the issue of fatigue, with him having played almost non-stop for the last three years.
Eric Tinkler said last night that he would rest the midfielder when asked to do so, and Manyisa again insists he is feeling fine.
“I'm not feeling any tiredness. Football is my job so I have to keep on playing.”
