Pirates: Delay won't affect us for AmaTuks clash

Pirates drew 2-2 against CF Mounana in the CAF Confederation Cup in Libreville this past Sunday. Due to the unavailability of flights, Bucs will only leave central Africa tonight and land in Johannesburg on Wednesday morning.

“Look, we were meant to play against Tuks on Tuesday, 21 April but due to unavailability of return flights from Gabon the match was moved to Friday,” Modisane tells snl24.com/kickoff.

“We’ve been in this type of situation before and it will certainly not affect us, when Friday comes we will be ready for the match. The team will land on Wednesday morning and from then we will prepare for Tuks.”

Players like Thabo Matlaba and Kermit Erasmus did not make the trip abroad due to injury, but will soon reunite with their teammates.

“Players who didn’t travel were working under development coaches just to stay sharp and ready. I didn’t travel to Gabon but I’m sure that the team is not sitting there doing nothing, they are also working hard,” Modisane adds.

The Buccaneers will host AmaTuks in the League at Orlando Stadium, with kick-off at 20h00.
