Pirates injury update: Mahamutsa, Erasmus, Gabuza, Jele, Gcaba

Mahamutsa missed the Carling Black Label Cup and his side's MTN8 loss to Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday due to an Achilles problem.

However, the 33-year-old "will most likely be available for selection" on the weekend, according to Bucs' medical team.

Erasmus, meanwhile, has started light training again as he seeks to shake off a hamstring complaint sustained on the eve of the Carling Cup.

Fellow forward Thamsanqa Gabuza (hamstring) and defenders Happy Jele (swollen knee) and Ayanda Gcaba (foot) are also nursing knocks.

Gabuza picked up his injury in the Carling Cup, while Gcaba bruised a bone in a friendly with Bidvest Wits.

The Sea Robbers beat Sfaxien 1-0 on July 26, with Thabo Rakhale getting the goal in Tunisia.

Eric Tinkler's charges are second in Group B with six points from three matches - three points behind Egyptian giants Zamalek, and five ahead of Sfaxien and AC Leopards.
