Upon further investigation, a source within the Bucs hierarchy has revealed some figures regarding the potential sale of the former SuperSport United attacker, who was last season's PSL top scorer in all competitions with 16 goals.
“These are obviously unofficial amounts, but I believe the transfer fee Pirates could be getting is in the region of about R20-million,” says the source.
“Also, they’ve already engaged with Erasmus’ representatives, and the offer to the player stands in the region of $30 000 [R350 000] per month.”

It is believed that Erasmus is well-known amongst the two Egyptian giants, with Al Ahly also previously enquiring over the Port Elizabeth-born striker.
With the Egyptian Premier League in its climax, and Zamalek currently leading rivals Al Ahly by six points with six games to go, the White Knights will hope to secure the services of Erasmus ahead of the new season, which kicks off later this year.
