"I'm very, very happy with the performance and it was vitally important to play with a lot of intelligence tonight," said Tinkler, who reserved special praise for goal providers Myeni and Thamsanqa Gabuza.
"Sifiso Myeni was phenomenal tonight, the second pass for the second goal was really fantastic," he said.
"Thamsanqa Gabuza also, you know he hasn't been playing regularly and tonight he really gave it his all and I was mightily impressed with his performance this evening.
"But it's everybody, all round, Happy Jele must be feeling like a yo-yo because one day he's playing right-back, next day he's playing centre-back and the last two games he's fitted in there fantastically well so I'm very happy overall."
Tinkler admitted that once-off performances are great but that it's not the way to get Pirates back to the top of the domestic game.
"I think it's about gaining that consistency, we knew it was there it just a case of when it would arrive, but now it's about performing like that week in, week out, that's what's important," he added.
"I said to the players, in order to really be an established side we need to be looking to not only to be the top goalscorers in the League but we also need to be the top team that hasn't conceded goals in the League.
"You've got to have some consistency on both sides of the table. I think they took that message in and gave us a good display tonight."
