As predicted by KickOff two weeks ago, Cape Town City have completed the acquisition of Angolan midfielder Carlinhos as they continue to make a statement about next season.
This website revealed on June 11 that the Citizens had made an official offer for the player's services and that negotiations were at an advanced stage.

Now the deal is over the line, with the club confirming the news with a video of the player in their colours on City's official X page.
Carlinhos comes highly rated and joins from the books of Petro de Luanda. This is the second player from the Angolan outfit linking up with a PSL side after Orlando Pirates snatched the signature of Gilberto Miguel Vieira.
The latter had a price tag of R10 million slapped on his head.
A central midfielder whose full name is Carlos Stenio Fernandes, Carlinhos is 29 and has Angolan and Portuguese nationality, though has represented the Palancas Negras 13 times.
He came through Petro de Luanda's U19 side and has also turned out for Porcelain FC, GD Interclub and Tanzanian giants Young Africans.
