Cape Town City head coach Eric Tinkler has opened up about the tactics his teams used to stop Mamelodi Sundowns' winning record in the DStv Premiership.
City became the first side to deny Sundowns maximum points this season, as they halted their 11-game winning run with a goalless draw on Sunday afternoon.
The former Maritzburg United head coach continued and explained that he found out the secret of stopping Sundowns after watching their game against AmaZulu.

Tinkler says the best way to approach a game against the Brazilians is to tell the players that they are 1-0 down at the start of the match.
"Very simple, like I said to you before, you're one nil down when the game starts, that's the best way. You watch the games that we analyzed, teams sit back and they allow them to come and Sundowns with the quality that they have, they will hurt you," Tinkler told SuperSport TV.
"So, we decided that we'll be looking at going at them. When I watched those clips, AmaZulu 1-0 down, all of a sudden they were back in the game, why? Because they started pressing, so I think if you press them, you can be fortunate.
"But, like I said they've got so much quality out there, they changed Zungu, in the beginning he was playing the six role, they saw that he was struggling in the build-up, they brought Mkhulise, who is a little bit more smart and clever in the build-up and they managed to get out," he said.
"So they've got so many variations that they can utilize and options that they have, it doesn't make it easy. But am I saying this is going to work for you? I don't know. It worked for us today but maybe it doesn't the next time we do it," he added.
