Speaking at a media day hosted by his club ahead of the MTN8 clash against Sekhukhune United this weekend, Domingo expressed his excitement to be back in the country after a experiencing mixed fortunes in Morocco last season where he struggled with game-time at Raja Casablanca.
"To be honest, that is a book that I've closed and I don't want to open that book again. It's an experience that I went through and I just want to leave it there, I don't want to get into that," Domingo said to journalists during the press conference held in Cape Town.
"It's been 11 years since I've been in Cape Town. It does help. I feels at home. I am at home and also how the club is run, really makes it easy. It's a good thing for me as well.
"I knew the chairman. We worked together at Ajax Cape Town. I am honoured to be here and excited," he added.

Haashim Domingo was linked with Kaizer Chiefs before signing with Cape Town City, and joins Fortune Makaringe and Kamohelo Mokotjo in the star-studded midfield at the Citizens.
"It's based on the style of play. They are a team even though sometimes they are behind, they stick to the game plan and keep the ball, which suits me well. I am not a physical player, I am more of a tactical player and that's what suits me and that's why (I chose) Cape Town City,'" added the 28-year-old.
