Cape Town City have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of former Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits defender Lorenzo Gordinho.
Last season's DStv Premiership runners-up have made their first foray into the transfer market ahead of the second half of the season after confirming the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs, Bloemfontein Celtic and Bidvest Wits defender Lorenzo Gordinho on a three-year deal.
The 28-year-old's arrival marks his return to South African football after spending the last two years in Denmark, where he represented HB Køge in the second division and top-flight side Viborg the year before.

"Before returning here I was at club in Denmark called HB Køge and a club called Viborg (before that) where I got a different perspective of football," Gordinho said.
"Being a local South African boy playing in South Africa compared to being a foreign player in another country. I learned a lot about adaptation and professionalism. To be professional no matter the circumstances you face, there are so many things you have to adapt to, and I think that is what kept me going.
"The opportunity came for me to come back, to Cape Town City. The way they run the team and the players that they have, the foundations are there at the club. The team is in a good space.
"My biggest ambition is to help the team as much as possible to reach the projected goal for the end of the season, and I think that's the most important thing."
