"For any player at his age, this is the right platform to move up on his career.
"As for other things I'm not sure, I can't talk about Chiefs, I don't know (if they were in the race).
"He has signed for two years, so everyone will contribute, even the players we had before.
"We've always believed in those players and we think they've now overcome the shock.
"Our target is still the same as it's always been, staying in the PSL. We got to be realistic."
The Urban Warriors have also added Tanzanian international Gardiel Kamaki and promoted youngsters Siviwe Nkwali, Reece Braithwaite, and Obakhe Tshaya.
Spurs are currently sitting at the bottom of the DStv Premiership table and in danger of being relegated.
"As I explained to you previously we are not in the business of spending money for the sake of spending money.
"But also we couldn't find the type of quality we required at the time. So Obviously with enough time now we were able to do a lot of work, and we were also able to find a couple of our targets."
