Chippa United have confirmed that transfer ban imposed on the club by regulating body FIFA has been lifted.
The Eastern Cape-based outfit confirmed in a brief statement published on the club's social media platforms on Friday morning.

"Chippa United Football Club is pleased to announce that the ban imposed by FIFA on signing both domestic and international players has been lifted," the statement read in part.

Chippa's ban had come on the back of issues related to Tanzanian defender Abdi Banda's season-long stay at the club.
Banda spent the 2022/23 season at Chippa but left with unsettled issues which led to him filing a case with FIFA over unpaid monies amounting to R1,2 million.

in addition to the lifting of the ban, Chippa has also confirmed the the club will unveil two signings ahead of the midnight transfer deadline.
The Chilli Boys are in 13th position on the DStv Premiership table log with just four wins from 16 matches. Chippa return to competitive action when they take on Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium on 16 February.
