Chippa United have confirmed the appointment of Eric Carlos Mtshamba as the club's new DStv Diski Challenge head coach ahead of the 2024/25 season, as well as other changes for the team's Reserves.
In a brief statement published by the Chilli Boys on Tuesday evening, it was confirmed that Mtshamba will be taking over the reigns, among several other changes at the club's reserve side.

The move is expected to be part of the club's efforts to nurture local talent, particularly in its youth development structures.
"We also take this opportunity to announce the appointment of Eric Carlos Mtshamba as our new u21 Reserve Team Manager Coach," club boss Siviwe Mpengesi said in the statement.
"Coach Carlos' passion for football and his vast experience in player development make him the perfect fit to lead our young talents. His role will be pivotal as we scout and develop promising players from every corner of the Eastern Cape, strengthening our u21 reserve team with fresh, local talent.
Mtshamba's extensive work with young players has been on display at the Carlos Youth Soccer Development Academy, where he helped produce the likes of Aphelele Teto – who will be spending the season with Chippa, on loan from Scottish outfit Livingston.
Another change announced by the Gqeberha-based outfit is that the club's U21 Reserve side, previously based in Gqeberha, will now be moving to East London, where they will use the Buffalo City Stadium as their home ground.

Mtshamba is expected to work closely with senior team assistant coach Thabo in September, while Kwanele Kopo will lead the first team as head coach.
"In alignment with these new objectives, the club has decided to appoint Kwanele Kopo as the head coach for the 2024/25 season," the club said in a previous statement.
"Thabo September will take on the role of assistant coach. Coach September's extensive experience in player development, particularly at the reserve and developmental levels, positions him perfectly to spearhead our efforts in nurturing local talent from the Eastern Cape and bringing them into our First Team.
"We believe this directive will enhance our competitive edge and help us fulfil our commitment to being the pride of the Eastern Cape. We remain unapologetically dedicated to our Province and our mission.
Chippa's DDC team will take on Marumo Gallants Reserves on Saturday.
