Chippa United have announced the signing of former Orlando Pirates defender Craig Martin on a two year deal with the option to extend.

The 29-year-old leaves the Buccaneers following an underwhelming spell that saw him make just six appearances and failed to nail down a starting position in a stacked Pirates squad
Martin joined Pirates in January from Cape Town City and will be hoping to revive his career with the Chilli Boys, who are in need of quality, having finished 14th on the DStv Premiership table, just a point above relegated Maritzburg United and Marumo Gallants.
His new coach, Morgan Mammila is full of optimism.
"His (Martin) addition to our squad on this extended commitment is a clear indicator of our aspirations for the new season," Mammila was quoted as saying in a statement released by the club.
"We eagerly anticipate Martin's impact on the field, and we are confident in his pivotal role in the pursuit of our ambitious goals, including securing a top 8 position in the league."
