Gqosha: 'Mammila ruined Kaizer Motaung's birthday'

Kaizer Chiefs legend Lifa "Mhlekazi" Gqosha admits the defeat to Morgan Mammila's Chippa United did ruin Kaizer Motaung's birthday celebrations.

Mammila has incredibly guided Chippa United to three consecutive victories since taking over as interim coach.

"There are different types of coaches," Gqosha tells KickOff.

"I don't think Mammila is right as a coach, and I don't think he is coaching.

"I think he is more of a motivator. Some people can uplift other people through talking.

"The tactical aspect of the game I don't think that he's got it.

"But he's got players who are willing to work for him, and players who are willing to die for him.

"That's one thing I have noticed because even good coaches need to be good motivators.

"Most of the players that are at Chippa are seasoned players and they want to prove a point."

Gqosha warns Mammila's coaching fairy tale might not last long though as qualified coaches will soon figure out his tactical strategy.

"But as time goes on you must know these people are qualified coaches.

"They will get the strategy that he is using. And when that happens it will be difficult for him to get points.

Gqosha who captained Chiefs during his time at Naturena says it was sad to see Mammila ruin Kaizer Motaung's birthday celebrations.

"To be honest Mammila did ruin Kaizer Motaung's birthday," Gqosha added.

"But at Chiefs there are still many positives, I think they are getting better.

"It's always nicer when you celebrate your birthday with a win.

"But such things do happen in football."
