Mbabane Swallows clarify player's failed move to Chippa

The 21-year-old Eswatini national team left-back was on the verge of joining the Premier Soccer League club but the deal has since failed.

Swallows issued a statement explaining why the deal could not go through.

"Mbabane Swallows and Chippa United had reached an agreement regarding the player's transfer, even up to a point where payment terms were put in place and agreed upon by both teams.

"Following these agreements, the player left for South Africa, where he was to be met and hosted by Chippa United.

"Upon arrival in South Africa, the player's experience was such that he had a change of heart regarding his move to Chippa United, opting instead to return to Eswatini where rejoined Mbabane Swallows training on the very same day of his return.

"Reports that Mbabane Swallows is behind the eventual unsuccessful transfer of the player are untrue, just as it is untrue that the club was unwilling to facilitate the player's transfer.
