The donation, which includes a brand new playing kit, high-quality boots and tracksuits for the players and management comes at the perfect time for the club who are preparing for the start of the brand new SAFA Regional League season.
Welcoming the donation from Betway, club owner and Manager, Sibusiso Gumede expressed his gratitude to the leading sports betting company for extending their generosity to remote areas of the country such as Mtubatuba, where it remains difficult to access growth opportunities.
"A number of rural communities have been following the work that Betway has been doing for the last few years. Seeing how much a community empowerment focused brand they are, we were confident that our application for assistance would be considered, irrespective of our location," he said.
"Fortunately for us, our perception of Betway was spot on and they have indeed made the effort of meeting our needs through this donation, which is a massive confidence booster for both our players as well as our community, who are always behind us" added Gumede.
Betway SA Marketing Manager, David Rachidi re-emphasized the brand's strong position on making a meaningful difference in communities.
"Betway accelerated its drive of reaching as many communities as possible over the last few months. While we are proud of the work that has been done with the ongoing #BetwayCares Skills Hub programme, we understand the dire need for assistance in the form of equipment and how much of a confidence booster this is to clubs and communities.
"As a brand that has firmly positioned itself as a caring brand, we remain committed to making a positive change in remote areas as Mtubatuba," said Rachid
