Gondwe will tie the knot with Charity Mwale.
The wedding takes place on February 27 at the Glorious Life Christian International Assembly with the reception set for Area 18 Lodge – both in Lilongwe, Malawi.
Speaking to this website from Malawi, the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Wits University midfielder confirmed that all is now set for the big day at the end of next month.
Gondwe – a rare breed of midfielders with an advanced football intelligence – is now doing sports evangelism back home.
Last year he told KICK OFF Magazine about his previous life of infatuation with beautiful women, binge drinking, picking up prostitutes, kids with different mothers, living in a shack, abandoning his Mercedes Benz at a house in Mamelodi, and offspring that he hasn't seen in over two decades.
"When you are not in control of your life you just lose a lot of things like that," he said in that revealing interview. "I stopped playing football due to how poor and disorganised my private life was."
