With the release of FIFA22 on the horizon and only two South African teams featured on the popular gaming franchise, we have decided to look at Orlando Pirates' player ratings.
According to FIFA Index, the website containing all the players of the game FIFA, goalkeeper Richard Ofori is the highest-rated star on the 2022 edition of the game, with 74.

While it might come as a surprise for some, Ofori's Soweto rival Daniel Akpeyi is rated slightly below him with a 73.
Pirates have an overall rating of three out of five stars, with their defense, attack, and midfield rated at 67, 71, and 66 respectively.
Furthermore, Thembinkosi Lorch, Vincent Pule, and Deon Hotto are their most highly-rated attacking options on the game, bosting ratings in the around the low 70s mark, which is relatively high for the only two teams from South Africa.
Mzansi's local player ratings are obviously far from the elite grading of the top three best-ranked players including Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are rated 93, 92, and 91 respectively.
However, some gamers from our borders can be relieved that the two Soweto sides are once again included in the franchise's latest edition, as some South African and continental clubs still do not feature.
We also yet to receive an official reason from EA Sports as to why a prominent club like Mamelodi Sundowns is not featured in the gaming series.
Your thoughts, please?
Along with Sundowns, which other DStv Premiership club would you like to see on FIFA in the future?
