A bromance is emerging between Nigerian football legend Jay Jay Okocha and Asamoah Gyan after they recently took time off from their punditry duties to link up for a bit of competitive fun. Check it out!
What Happened?
Okocha had an illustrious career that saw him play for Paris Saint-Germain and Bolton Wanderers where his ball manipulation skills and trickery left Africans amazed. Ex-Ghana striker Gyan wrote his name into the history books for his effort in the Black Stars 2010 World Cup campaign.
Despite the pair having a lot of success on the football pitch, this time they took the tennis court where they battled it out.

According to Pulse Ghana, Gyan won the first set of the match, but his opponent came back strongly to win the next two sets to emerge victorious. Like many times in his career, Okocha came out on top once again and analysed the defeat in true Jay Jay fashion.
"He is dead. He wanted to bamba and chill with the big boys. But he is running," an elated Okocha said.
Meanwhile, Gyan admitted he was surprised by how good Okocha was on the tennis court.
"Honestly, he did well. First set I took it so I thought he was very very low to my standard. He did very very well, there were some balls I didn't think he will take but he did," he said.
The former Sunderland striker has been playing tennis as a part-time hobby ever since he parted ways with Turkish side Kayserispor and even competed in the Accra Open earlier last year but got eliminated at the semi-final stage at the hands of Richard Ogum.

Asamoah and his elder brother Baffour Gyan emerged as champions of the men's double tennis event at the AMTEC championship in December.
