Junior Khanye attracts 500-plus fans at Ngwaabe City Motors training

'Aghahowa' has bounced back from his past troubles and is making a comeback after almost four years in the doldrums having signed a one-year contract with Ngwaabe City Motors.

Before he could even play his first game in the ABC Motsepe League, the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder has become the centre of attention in Limpopo.

The 34-year-old is set to make his much-awaited debut when Ngwaabe take on Dolphins at the Jame Furse Sports Ground on Saturday .

His new club owner David 'Barry White' Masha is already singing Khanye's praises and says local soccer fans can't wait to see him in action.

"It's unbelievable how the community has reacted to his arrival. People only saw it in the media and never believed it. You won't believe the number of people coming to watch our training. We have plus-minus 500 people coming to watch our training," Masha tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"I am impressed with what I have seen. Everyone can't wait to see him playing in our first game on Saturday. Let's give the young man a chance. He has a lot still to offer in football. Already I have seen his positive impact to many of the youngsters in the team. He is going to add a lot of value to the team."

Khanye has already pledged his commitment to help the team qualify for GladAfrica Championship next season.
