Itu broke through the ranks as the then-potential successor to Brian 'Spiderman' Baloyi in 2004, where he was part of the Chiefs first-team group. He later went on to make his debut for Naturena-based club in August 2007 against Jomo Cosmos
The star goalie quickly filled those shoes or gloves you may say, and it did not take him long to break into the Bafana Bafana setup as well, as he made his senior national team debut in 2008.
