Fans criticise Zwane and praise Sea Robbers debutant

Kick Off's avid readers have stormed the comment section to share their honest views on Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane and Orlando Pirates' impressionable debutant.

The story

After the exciting MTN 8 first leg of the semi-finals, there were plenty of talking points on offer.

Chiefs boss Arthur Zwane was heavily discussed by fans on Kick Off's recent stories after Amakhosi's 1-1 draw with Usuthu and Orlando Pirates baller Monnapule Saleng made quite the impression on the Bucs fans.

Let's take a closer look at the comments...

KO Comments

The Glamour Boys squandered a number of chances against the conservative Usuthu and it prompted Mangethe to say they could've scored "four, five, even six" goals against Brandon Truter's troops.

On the "Zwane: We could have easily scored six goals" story, a frustrated KO reader, Khothakhosi, was not happy with the Amakhosi tactician:

"Coach Zwane is blind, he cannot see that his team lacks good playmakers. Look at the new boys of Pirates! That is what we need, we do not have such quality. That is why we are chasing games just to play a draw against a team with one player less. Yooooh!!"

On the "Truter: Zulu's Sending Off Was Soft" story, reader Matemane says Zwane still has a long way to go before reaching major finals:

"Zwane is still the student. There's no way that he will go past this MTN stage with his inexperienced players. He's always being saved by experienced players and he seems not to be aware of that. Khune and Dolly always save him."

The more positive comments were aimed at the Buccaneers' surprise package, Monnapule Saleng. He capped off a brilliant performance with a dazzling shimmy that left experienced midfielder Andile Jali on the floor.

A moment that went viral on social media and was certainly mentioned by KO readers on the "Superb Saleng impresses on Pirates debut" story:

"AJ15 [Andile Jali] will never forget this boy for the rest of his life," says The Equalizer.

"He was impressive, full of energy, the speed, the skill, the runs. Wishing him more good games," says Sam Sundawana.
