Fans react strongly to Lakay & Erasmus' deadline day deals

Fans stayed on the beat of Kick Off's transfer updates with fans commenting on the transfers of Kermit Erasmus, Lyle Lakay, Phillip Ndlondlo and Sundowns' unmatched transfer window…

The story

KO readers have been quick to take the comment sections to share their opinions on the recent transfer dealings in the DStv Premiership.

Yesterday, Lyle Lakay, Phillip Ndlondlo and Abdelmounaim Boutouil all completed their moves to Cape Town City, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively.

Kermit Erasmus' move from Sundowns to Pirates was confirmed by both clubs this morning.

There were mixed reactions from all three stories, but most came from Lakay's transfer story, with several fans adamant that the Sundowns decision makers will regret their decision.

Pirates fans were unsurprisingly stoked with the Erasmus acquisition, with one fan calling the Sea Robbers Free Agent FC.

On the "Official: CT City sign Sundowns defender" story, a passionate fan had a lot to say about Lakay's return to Cape Town.

"Yaaaaaaaah neeeeeeeh this is beyond confusing. Lakay dishing up good crosses on that left side. Good defending. And we are flipping loan him out. Someone is just smoke marijuana at our yellow offices," commented KBY 7, who's clearly disappointed with Lakay's departure.

Although the Phillip Ndlondlo transfer from Marumo Gallants to Orlando Pirates was met with praise and excitement but most Buccaneer supporters, this KO reader is not convinced:

"He's NOT a big team player and will rot on the bench," says Slimtony7.

Will Ndlondlo be able to make the step up with the Soweto Giants? Slimtony could still be proven wrong.

Masandawana have had an unreal transfer window and they've wrapped their business up with the signing of Moroccan defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil.

KO reader Muziwakhe Mogotlane says Sundowns are on a different level compared to the rest of the league:

"No team in the PSL can compete with Sundowns when it comes to money. A team who owns a second division league of South Africa… imagine. They can buy the whole of PSL if they want to. Just look at the waste they just did by buying that left defensive player from Cape Town city then loaning Lakay to City. What a waste I must say."

Erasmus' return to the Buccaneers was received well by their supporters, a funny fan decided to take a jab at the Soweto Giants and signing Erasmus on a free transfer.

"Free Agent FC aka Orlando Pirates made the good signing here jealous down," commented Collen Kese on the "Sundowns reveal details on shock Erasmus transfer."
