Lucky Lekgwathi and Thabo September will join the SANDF in the streets on Tuesday as part of awareness campaign to help curb the spread of the coronavirus .
The former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United captains have been active in the call made by government to encourage the public to take safety measures and stay indoors to help flatten the coronavirus curve.

Lekgwathi and September, through their own foundations, are trying to help bring the spread of COVID-19 under control through an initiative called 'Give Covid-19 A Red Card'.
TM Active brand manager Nini Moya, who is working with the former PSL stars, says they will be visiting some of the informal settlements in Johannesburg that do not have much access to information due to a lack of electricity and other resources.

"We had to adhere to the call. The more ignorance we choose, the more the virus spreads," Moya tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"We are also taking all the safety measures in ensuring our safety by making use of masks, gloves, sanitisers and the washing of hands.
"We hope that by having these personalities involved we will encourage those who look up to them to adhere to all the rules put in place. Together we will beat this pandemic."
The South African Police Service and National Defence Force will join the proceedings in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
"Yes, we are joining both the SANDF and SAPS in patrol in a bid to bring hope and encourage the community to use all the necessary safety measures to help curb the spread of the coronavirus," September confirms.

"Some of the community lack basic information because they don't have electricity to watch TV and other media platforms where most of the information is delivered.
"So this will be an opportunity to spread the message about the call made by the government to adhere to all safety measures."
