Mark Mayambela post-retirement lifestyle

With Mark Mayambela building a reputation in the world of coaching, we take a look at his post-retirement lifestyle. Check it out!

What Happened?

'Professor' retired from playing professional football and in April resurfaced in a different role within the game. The team the 34-year-old last featured for was Cape Umoya in the 2020/21 campaign and thus decided to call it a day in the playing world.

But just like his on-field career, Mayambela has continued to impress and catch the eye after his retirement. The star is a coach with Cape Town City under 16 team and recently was part of the coaching staff that saw them win the prestigious Western Cape Engen Knockout Challenge after beating Stellenbosch in the final.

This will see them compete in the Champ of Champs in Gauteng in October 2022.

Since retiring, the baller now coach has seemingly remained active on social media but tends to have a more modest approach to the app as he appears to be all work and no play.

Mayambela tends to not showcase his outfits like he used to in his playing days but instead highlights the focus on his journey to becoming SA next top coach.

With plans to increase his knowledge of the game, the ex-footballer has done his UEFA B license in Ireland while he will also be flying to Ireland in July for my practical assessment of the course.

Did you know?

In his 15-year career in Mzansi since coming through from the Old Mutual Academy in Cape Town, Mayambela played for a number of clubs including Bloemfontein Celtic, Orlando Pirates, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Chippa United and more.
