Professional footballers are not too open about which teams they support, but we have decided to look at South African footballers who have shown which overseas sides they are fans of.
It can be easily forgotten that professional soccer players have teams they support or grew up being a fan of, however, those who follow the sport will tell you that there are a few neutral footballers, as everyone has a club close to their heart whether they are a pro baller or not.

It can be argued that if you buy a jersey of a specific club, you are their supporter. If that is not the case, then that particular person probably has a unique reason for doing so.
Orlando Pirates star Vincent Pule is clearly a Manchester United supporter. The attacker has seemingly even bought his son a United home jersey, while he owns their 2020/21 away shirt.
A few inclusions on this article are Mzansi ballers who seemingly support more than one team from overseas. It is either that or they simply own jerseys of multiple clubs because of their partnerships with brands like PUMA.
An example of this is Supersport United's Teboho Mokoena and Moroka Swallows' Keletso Makgalwa, who both own AC Milan and Manchester City tops. The pair are endorsed by PUMA, and we can carefully speculate that their partnership with the brand could be the reason behind them seemingly supporting two European clubs.
There is an unspoken rule among football fans that you cannot really be a proud fan of two different clubs, as being a supporter involves a big element of loyalty. Although it is not that fundamentally serious that you are behind one club, but die-hard football fans will tell you that doing so is not the ethos of the sport
