Mzansi's friendliest baller Fortune Makaringe

Orlando Pirates star Fortune Makaringe seems friendlier than most ballers in Mzansi, and we have decided to look at what sets him apart and makes him probably the most bromantic star in the DStv Premiership.

After recently wishing his supposed rival Mamelodi Sundowns Lebohang Maboe a happy birthday a few days ago, we quickly stumbled upon an interesting thing about the Pirates star – which was the fact that he seems to embrace his footballing friends more than other players do.

While it is obvious that ballers have professional relationships and friendships with each other, not many of them are too showy about who they chill with outside of the pitch – in fact, as far as we can tell, not all teammates are friends.

However, Makaringe is an apparent exception to that remark and he can be seen sharing some comfortable moments with fellow ballers off the pitch. More recently, he and Maboe hung out sometime around the Sundowns attacker's birthday, where they appeared to have taken a visit to a PUMA store.

Maboe is a PUMA athlete, and if our guess is good, Makaringe may have had been there only to accompany him because he is not endorsed by the same brand, but rather Nike. The pair played together at Maritzburg United before they joined their respective clubs now.

Makaringe capped off the day by posting a solo image of Maboe, captioned "More life my Gee [my friend]"

On other more recent occasions, the 28-year-old playmaker also shared some off-field laughs and hangouts with teammates Linda Mntambo and Tebogo Tete Tlolane.

Your thoughts, please?

Can you name a local footballer who seems to be genuinely friendly as Fortune Makaringe?
