Thabang Monare's new 'ABSA premiership' tattoo

Orlando Pirates star Thabang Monare has seemingly followed Hlompho Kekana's lead and got himself new tattoos that include three of South Africa's most prestigious trophies. Take a look!

There are many ways for people to express themselves and to celebrate things that matter to them and body ink is one of those ways. Sometimes the reason does not even carry any meaning but it looks attractive and that can be a reason to get a tattoo!

While it may be controversial to some, it remains one of the most common ways for people to remember their best moments.

The 32-year-old has taken to social media to show off three new tattoos including the 'ABSA Premiership trophy. Monare won the league in the 2016/17 season and the midfielder has now decided to get a tattoo of the trophy he won with Bidvest Wits.

The second new ink drawing shows the Telkom Knockout trophy which he won in the next season with the same side. Monare did not just win a medal but he was also an integral part of their success.

While the last tattoo consists of his latest trophy - the prestigious MTN 8 cup. Thabang won this trophy in the 2020/21 campaign. The trophies are all a work of art as they impressively show off all the minor details that come with the cup.

Since his move to the Buccaneers, his former side Wits have gone on to sell their DStv Premiership status to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Football Club who later sold their status to Marumo Gallants and bought a GladAfrica Championship status instead.
