Thabang Monare's new business venture

Orlando Pirates star Thabang Monare recently announced that he is starting his own business. Check it out!

What Happened?

Many footballers have to plan for life after retirement and with the increasing rate of ballers who are filing for bankruptcy, it is refreshing to see players who show that they can be financially responsible.

Recently, the aforementioned baller put social media in a frenzy as he revealed that he will be launching a barbershop.

Fresh cuts only

The new store named 'SK barber shop' opened on February 12th and Monare revealed that his branch is offering 50% off all types of cuts.

It can certainly be expected that the midfielder ended up venturing into the field of appearance, as he is often one of the best-dressed players at Mayfair. It will not be long before the DStv Premiership players line up outside his store as footballers often go to the barber in their bid to look their freshest before they set foot on the pitch.

The business is located on 100 Seou street Monaheng section, Katlehong, which is not too far to ensure that the Buccaneers players can stop on their way to or from matches.

Other footballers who previously started their own business

Monare is the latest South African baller to become a businessman behind the scenes. Kaizer Chiefs star Bernard Parker has a Natural Wellness centre, while Pirates legend Lucky Lekgwathi recently opened a new restaurant with the help of Sekhukhune United midfielder Willard Katsande.

The 32-year-old along with Taariq Fielies, Thabo Rakhale and Thabo Mnyamane are all sponsored by the Italian Brand, Lotto.
