Orlando Pirates 0-1 Swallows FC
Orlando Pirates' title charge in the DStv Diski Challenge was dented following a 1-0 loss to Swallows FC at the Rand Stadium on Sunday.
The Buccaneers, who were held to a goalless draw in their last match against Marumo Gallants FC, looked to get back to winning ways but Swallows showed up and got the winner through Thabo Meloa.
Swallows didn't finish the match with a full complement of players after Senzelumusa Sibiya saw red late in the second half for a poor challenge.
Stellenbosch FC 5-2 Kaizer Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs' inconsistent run of results in the league continued after falling to a 5-2 humbling against Stellenbosch FC at the Idas Valley Stadium.
The Amakhosi trailed the visitors at the break as a finish from Mervin Boij separated the two sides, but as the Soweto giants looked to stage a comeback the Maroons ran riot.
A further four efforts from Boij put paid to the Glamour Boys quest and helped the Maroons back to winning ways after last weekend's loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Cape Town City 0-1 Maritzburg United
Cape Town City also failed to keep their title hopes alive with a disappointing 1-0 loss at the hand of Maritzburg United at the Malta Sports Park Stadium.
A first half finish from Asanda Buthelezi was all it took to separate the Team of Choice and Citizens, as the win intensifies the visitors spot in the mid-table standings.
Sekhukhune United 0-2 TS Galaxy
TS Galaxy continued their push up the Diski Challenge table following a 2-0 win over Sekhukhune United out at the Isak Steyl Stadium.
The Rockets are on a high a week after putting six past Kaizer Chiefs and claimed yet another win to cement ninth-place, with Babina Noko in the bottom-half.
Royal AM 2-4 SuperSport United
A first half hat-trick from Shandre Campbell steered SuperSport United to a comprehensive 4-2 victory over Royal AM in the DStv Diski Challenge and remain at the top of the table on Saturday.
In-form Campbell broke the deadlock on six minutes and grabbed a brace shortly to halftime before he tucked in a penalty to complete a first half hat-trick.
Royal AM bounced back after the break and were on target through Thulebona Vezi, who got a second a while later on.
However, United went further ahead and subsequently bagged the win when Keenan Bezuidenhout fired in with a minute to go and helped his side to get back to winning ways.
Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 AmaZulu
Mamelodi Sundowns secured back-to-back wins in the Diski Challenge in a 2-0 victory on their own turf against a determined AmaZulu.
The Brazilians bagged a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC last weekend and have now followed that up with another three points and are now fourth on the table.
Chippa United 0-2 Golden Arrows
Golden Arrows continued to cement their spot in the top eight bracket with a 2-0 win over the bottom-place and hapless Chippa United in Gqeberha.
Abafana Besthende's intentions were clear from the start and went ahead in the middle of the first half with a finish from Sbusiso Mtshali.
The KwaZulu-Natal boys made the points completely safe two minutes before full-time when Samkelo Mzolo continued his scoring run as he finished off from the penalty spot.
Marumo Gallants FC 2-2 Richards Bay FC
Marumo Gallants FC picked up another crucial point in their hunt towards a top -half position following a thrilling 2-2 draw against Richards Bay FC.
Gallants held the mighty Orlando Pirates last weekend to a goalless draw, while Richards Bay also kept out Maritzburg United in their last match.
With this outcome, both Bahlabane Ba Ntwa and the Natal Rich Boys are in the bottom-half of the table and in sight of a top eight finish.
