Mamelodi Sundowns were unable to stretch the lead at the top of the DStv Diski Challenge standings following a 2-1 loss to Stellenbosch FC in a top-of-the-table showdown on Sunday.
The Maroons didn't take time to get stuck in but hit the ground running right from the onset through a slice of good fortune before Thulani Mini added to give them the perfect cushion at the interval.
Sundowns did pull one back and looked to salvage something from the clash, but were unable to do so and left the Maroons to walk away with all the points on offer.
