Stellenbosch 4-1 Kaizer Chiefs

Ten-man Kaizer Chiefs suffered their third defeat after a heavy 4-1 loss to Stellenbosch on Saturday afternoon at Idas Valley Sports Ground.

Fuad Johnson, Devin Titus and Mervin Boji gave Stellies a commanding 3-0 lead inside the first 37 minutes and Amakhosi were reduced to ten men on the stroke of half-time after Bhongo Lawana got a second booking.

Dithejane pulled a goal back for Chiefs nine minutes from the half-time break but Avotuur Roy-Keane made it 4-1 for the hosts nine minutes before time and Stellies moved up to second on the log.

Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 Swallows

Mamelodi Sundowns climbed up to the top of the log after thrashing Swallows 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Jerome Karelse netted a brace for the Brazilians while the other goal was scored by Kabelo Moagi, as the Tshwane side moved one point clear at the top of the log.

SuperSport United 3-1 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates missed the chance to top the table after a 3-1 loss to SuperSport United on Sunday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Sbusiso Maziko broke the deadlock for United in the 33rd minute and Oswin Appollis and Nkosana Maseko got two late goals in the first stanza, as Matsatsantsa went to the half-time break with a 3-0 lead.

Cassius Spandiel pulled a goal back for the Buccaneets early in the second stanza but that only proved to be a consolation goal.

Sekhukhune United 4-1 Marumo Gallants

Sozabile Dlamini scored the first hat-trick of the season for Sekhukhune United after they hammered Marumo Gallants 4-1 in the Limpopo derby on Sunday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Dlamini completed his hat-trick in the first stanza and also had a goal disallowed for offside, while Lungile Mokoena got the fourth goal for Sekhukhune in stoppage time.

West Kgwetiane scored the consolation goal for Gallants in the last minute.

Royal AM 1-3 Cape Town City

Cape Town City bagged their second win of the campaign after thrashing Royal AM 3-1 on Saturday morning at Idas Valley Sports Ground.

Sanele Radebe gave Royal an early lead but City rallied back, as Joedin Rhodes got a quick brace in the first stanza and Ashley Nel secured the three points for the Citizens with the third goal early in the second stanza.

Maritzburg United 1-1 Golden Arrows

Maritzburg United and Golden Arrows could not be seperated in the KwaZulu-Natal derby after playing to a 1-1 draw on Saturday morning at Harry Gwala Stadium.

Olebogeng Ntlhaile got the opener for Arrows in the 20th minute but Ashley Wyngaard salvaged a point for the Team of Choice in the last 20 minutes.
