Thato Matli gave the Brazilians the lead in the 16th minute with a free-kick on the edge of the box and Mpumelelo Nkomo doubled their lead ten minutes from the half-time break with a strike from a rebound after he was denied twice by shot-stopper Bontle Molefe.
Orlando Pirates 3-0 Maritzburg United
Orlando Pirates remained one point behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns after thrashing Maritzburg United 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
Mohau Nkota broke the deadlock for Pirates in the 36th minute and setup Boitumelo Radiopane, who doubled their lead just a minute later.
Nkota put the game to bed for the Buccaneers 12 minutes before time and snatched his brace with a strike from the rebound.
Stellenbosch 3-1 Cape Town City
Stellenbosch remained in second place on the log after drubbing Cape Town City 3-1 in the Western Cape derby on Sunday afternoon at Idas Valley Sports Ground.

Swallows were denied their second win after they were held by Marumo Gallants in a 2-2 draw on Sunday morning at Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
Mnqobi Mkhize broke the deadlock for the Birds on the stroke of half-time and Gallants had a chance to equalise with a penalty just before the hour-Mark but Sibusiso Nkosi's spot-kick was saved by goalkeeper Thulane Mngomezulu.
Ntiyiso Bombi eventually levelled matters for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa 20 minutes before time and gave them the lead eight minutes later, netting brace but Tiniko Sithole snatched the equaliser for Swallows nine minutes before time.
