Bucs clinch bragging rights in original Soweto Derby

Swallows 0-2 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates registered their second victory of the campaign after beating Swallows 2-0 in the Soweto derby on Sunday afternoon at Dobsonville Stadium.

Kgwadi Molepo broke the deadlock for Pirates on 26 minutes and Mehluleli Maphumulo sealed the deal with a stoppage time penalty.

Marumo Gallants 0-1 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs won for the first time after edging Marumo Gallants 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Dobsonville Stadium.

Wandile Duba scored the only goal of the match within five minutes from the first whistle.

Sekhukhune United 2-2 Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns came back from two goals down to rescue a 2-2 draw against Sekhukhune United on Saturday morning at Dobsonville Stadium.

Kutlwano Theoha broke the deadlock for Sekhukhune just before the half-hour mark and Leonardo Rooi doubled their lead on 66 minutes.

However, Mmatlou Sepale reduced the deficit for Sundowns four minutes later and the Brazilians snatched the equaliser with eight minutes remaining.

SuperSport United 3-2 TS Galaxy

SuperSport United bagged their second win of the season after narrowly beating TS Galaxy in a five-goal thriller on Sunday morning at Dobsonville Stadium.

The Rockets went ahead as early as the second minute but Shandre Campbell found the equaliser for United six minutes before the interval.

Keenan Bezuidenhout quickly gave Matsatsantsa the lead two minutes later and Galaxy restored parity through Sanele Zulu 18 minutes before time.

However, Sbusiso Maziko snatched the winner for SuperSport in the last minute.

Maritzburg United 0-3 Cape Town City

Cape Town City extended their perfect start at the top of the table after a resounding 3-0 win over Maritzburg United on Sunday morning at Harry Gwala Stadium.

Jaedin Rhodes netted a brace for the Citizens while the other goal came through an own goal by Philangethemba Ntombela.

AmaZulu 0-2 Richards Bay

Richards Bay clinched their first victory of the season after beating AmaZulu 2-0 on Sunday afternoon in the KwaZulu-Natal derby at King Zwelithini Stadium.

Sanele Mchunu broke the deadlock for the Natal Rich Boyz midway through the first stanza and Yanela Mbuthuma doubled their lead just before the hour-mark.
