Bucs end the year with fourth straight Diski win

Sekhukhune United 0-2 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates claimed a fourth successive win in the DStv Diski Challenge with the recording of a 2-0 victory over Sekhukhune United on Saturday.

With the match goalless for a large spell, the Buccaneers were ahead late on through Mohau Nkota before Relebohile Ratomo found the second in the dying stages.

Stellenbosch FC 1-1 Marumo Gallants FC

Defending champions Stellenbosch FC needed to come from behind around the closing stages and forced a 1-1 draw against Marumo Gallants FC at the Idas Valley Stadium.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa threatened victory after Zwelethu Mzimela's opener in the first half, but the Maroons levelled and forced a point through Qobolwakhe Sibande.

SuperSport United 1-3 Golden Arrows

Golden Arrows edged closer to the front-runners after a 3-1 victory over SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atterdigeville.

Following a 6-1 hammering of Sekhukhune United last Sunday, the host were unable to register consecutive wins whereas Arrows came from a loss on their own turf against Orlando Pirates.

Arrows struck twice in the first half all through Luyanda Makhatini and Andiswa Cebekhulu with Samkelo Mzolo making it three after the break while Bilal Baloyi gave United a consolation.

Chippa United 3-0 Swallows FC

Chippa United brushed struggling Swallows FC aside 3-0 to move out of the bottom-two slots and have the Dube Birds drop to the foot of the table in the process.

Goals from Mayihlome Kelly, Sibuelele Mekuto and also Inathi Cewu guided the Chilli Boys to victory after a disappointing 3-2 defeat at Marumo Gallants FC last Sunday.

Cape Town City 2-0 AmaZulu

After a postponement fixture last season, Cape Town City returned to action and edged AmaZulu 2-0 to return to the top of the DStv Diski Challenge table on Sunday.

Usuthu jumped to the top last Sunday following their win over Mamelodi Sundowns, but the Citizens have been bounced back and reclaimed their rightful position.

Richards Bay FC 1-2 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs made it two wins from two matches against opposition from the KwaZulu-Natal province after seeing off Richards Bay FC 2-1 at the Mpumalanga Stadium.

The Amakhosi overcame Maritzburg United by the same score-line last Sunday, whilst Richards went down to Royal AM in the KwaZulu-Natal derby.

Mamelodi Sundowns 5-1 Maritzburg United

Mamelodi Sundowns managed to return to winning ways and moved into the top eight following a commanding 5-1 victory over Maritzburg United.

The Brazilians had lost their last match at AmaZulu, with the Team of Choice on the losing side too at the expense of Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs in Pietermaritzburg.

It was 1-1 during the course of the halftime break between Masandawana and United, but a goal-feast from the Brazilians in the second period put Peter Peterson's firmly out of sight.
