If Bafana Bafana had managed to book a spot at the 2022 World Cup later this month, it seems pretty clear who would be cheering on for Cyprus-based star Mihlali Mayambela. Here's a look.
The story
The love bug has quite clearly bitten the Aris Limassol attacker. The 26-year-old is comfortably settled in Europe after six years in the continent, representing clubs from Sweden, Portugal, and Israel. And with that settling comes his awesome relationship with digital entrepreneur Lauren Campbell.
The couple have really garnered some attention with their eye-catching relationship. Unlike many international players, South African footballers have a notable habit of not flaunting or hiding their lovers unless they are married to them. While the concept of keeping relationships private would open a huge debate, one must acknowledge that perhaps openly adoring your partner on social media is not the life sentence some have made it seem.
Kudos goes out to Mayambela, who now seems to lead a wholesome life without restraint and isn't afraid to embrace his dear partner loudly.

On to the pitch
After being overlooked for a relatively long time, the Cape Town-born winger made his debut for the national in September and netted his first goal for his country in 4-0 thrashing of Sierra Leone at the FNB Stadium.
The attacker will be hoping to be recalled in the next international break, while we imagine he'll be keen on making a bigger impression on South Africa's journey to secure a sport at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
At club level, his side is doing well, as they sit in second spot on the Cyprus top-flight table, having won seven of their first nine games - and Mayambela has feature in all but one of those fixtures.
