While he might be out of favour at Naturena, Kaizer Chiefs star Austin Dube's life is not all doom and gloom as he seems to be in good spirits off the pitch. Here's a look!
The story
The mental challenges footballers face can often go unnoticed. Playing for one of the top sides in South Africa also comes with its own added pressures, with the expectations to play consistently and perform being much greater than at other clubs.
Dube is yet to make a single appearance for Amakhosi this season and reports suggest that his proposed loan move to his former club and newly-promoted Richards Bay United fell through.

It now seems that the player will now remain at Naturena although he has been restricted to a fringe role, with the likes of Zitha Kwinika, Edmilson Dove, Eric Mathoho, Siyabonga Ngezana, and even Njabulo Ngcobo all ahead of him in the pecking order at the centre-back position.
Many would sympathise with the player given that he only joined the Soweto giants in July 2021. However, the defender seems to be in a good head space given what he has been getting up.
This month he posted some images of him relaxing in a lovely roof-top pool, as he also appears to be in good shape for a return to the pitch. The venue looks quite fancy as it sits on top of lovely Johannesburg setting. The 29-year-old might have also tried to deceive his following after he tagged Paris in France as his location, although it seems apparent that he is in Jozi.

We've also come to understand that this is a trend that some famous people have been on, tagging locations they aren't really at. Music star and DJ Uncle Waffles also trended on social media after she tagged a location in Mexico, while everything in the images suggested that she was on home shores.

While Dube might be no Uncle Waffles, other footballers including Sekhukhune striker Tshegofatso and AmaZulu playmaker Keagan Buchanan have also jumped on this trend as they have tagged overseas locations that they are not even remotely close to.

According to Transfermarkt, Dube has a market value of €175k (R3 million).
