Africa’s finest artists rubbed shoulders with their international counterparts who descended on the Chief Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre for the glittering, star-studded 2014 MTV Music Awards hosted by US comedian Marlon Wayons.
International visitors Miguel, Trey Songz and French Montana turned on the heat at the ICC with their performances while Nigeria and South Africa dominated the awards roster.
Alex Okosi, senior VP and managing director of Viacom International Media Networks Africa expressed his delight at the way the 2014 awards turned out.
“Tonight’s MAMA 2014 was truly spectacular and a true testament to the passion, commitment and creativity of contemporary music, youth culture and achievement on the African continent,” he said.
