Neymar's choice of underwear probed by FIFA

Brazilian news portal UOL have reported that Neymar Jr. raised alarm bells after the underwear label he endorses protruded ever so slightly from his shorts as he swapped jerseys in the aftermath of Brazil’s 4-1 demolition of Cameroon.

Football federations around the world have been known to take a zero-tolerance stance on players considered to be marketing unaffiliated personal brands.

In recent times, Denmark strker Nicklas Bendtner was slapped with a fine of €100,000 from UEFA for revealing the name of a betting firm on his underwear’s waistband as he lifted up his shirt in celebration.

If this is anything to go by, FIFA’s fashion police will be all over this case as they look to stamp their authority on proceedings on and off the field to protect their commercial interests.
