Legendary UK-based textile company Liberty Of London who have been collaborating with Nike since 2007, have brought out another special collection of denim inspired printed sneakers, taking inspiration from their print archive dating back more than a century.
“Nike was clear from the beginning they were interested in denim looks,” explains Anna Buruma, Liberty archivist. “So we chose a number of fabrics from our archives which we felt best matched that description.”
The patterns chosen were printed on denim and given a modern edge to fit some of Nike’s most popular shoes namely, the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Roshe Run, Internationalist, Blazer, and Dunk Sky Hi.
