Pearl Negras, a teen trio from Rio de Janeiro’s Vidigal favela comprising of Alice Coelho (17), Mariana Alves (16) and Jennifer Loiola (16) are making a name for themselves in Brazil’s hip-hop scene and grabbing the world’s attention.
After initially meeting at an extra-mural theatre program the girls are at the cusp of something great. They’re first foray in the game came via a mixtape release last year titled Pearl Negras – Biggie Apple mixtape, followed by singles 'Pensando em Voce' and 'Geurreira' – which can be viewed below.
