Golden Arrows co-coach Vusimuzi Vilakazi praised the side's mentality rallying from behind to defeat Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.
The Amakhosi held the lead twice but Abafana Besthende came back twice before going on to win with Knox Mutizwa the key architect as he bagged a brace.
Chiefs were ahead from a header by Sifiso Hlanti on just eight minutes and the way the goal went in let alone the defending thereof wasn't to Vilakazi's liking.

"I think we knew this was going to be a difficult one. But our plan was that we want to go to them, we have nothing to lose but to get something out of this game," Vilakazi told SuperSport TV.
"I think we still need to improve in terms of our defensive structure. I think a lack of concentration is killing us here and there. If you look at the first goal, it was a throw-in.
"The players are not even facing- they took a quick one. So those critical moments we suffer a lot from them. But I think going to the second half we planned that we didn't want to stay back but take the game to Kaizer Chiefs.
"Because we saw a possibility of winning the game if we continue because we dominated and I think we were able to manage (Keagan) Dolly and the other one playing on the other side.
"Just to lock them because they are the ones with (Ashley) Du Preez who are cutting in and causing problems for us and they create a numerical advantage inside.
"So, we allowed our full-backs to go inside with them and our wingers had to stay and deal with their fullbacks and I think we did much better in the second half in terms of making sure we keep the ball and be creative.
"Still, not one of the best in terms of being clinical in front of goal but we'll work on that. Other things cannot be rectified overnight, we need more repetition and we'll work on that."
Moreover, the spirit of resilience and energy to never give up that the technical team showed during the match transferred onto the players.
"That's what we needed in this game. We were trailing but still felt that we will comeback to this game and it was the positive energy that we had to transfer from the coaches to the players at halftime," he added.
"We told them believe in yourselves, you are capable. You've got the potential and you are talented and I think they fought very well because in order for us to be victorious today we worked very hard."
