Despite Mabhudi Khenyeza being in charge as Golden Arrows were knocked out of the KZN Premier's Cup over the weekend, the club is still searching for Steve Komphela's successor, KickOff has been told.
Komphela left the KwaZulu-Natal side in the lurch in early July, shortly after returning to prepare for their pre-season, returning to Mamelodi Sundowns as a senior coach.

The developments that led to former head coach Rulani Mokwena parting ways with Sundowns, with Manqoba Mngqithi being given the responsibility to be in charge temporarily, led to the recall of the former Kaizer Chiefs mentor.
Arrows have not announced whether they would be looking for a replacement for the erudite tactician, but this website has been reliably informed that they after some time, initiated processes of finding a suitable coach to be at the helm ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The Lamontville-based outfit head-hunted Magesi head coach Clinton Larsen, with the proposal for him to return for his second stint, according to a source close to the matter.
Larsen allegedly went as far as making demands to Dikwena management over the signings he wanted, with threats that he would take up an offer to re-join Arrows if the newly-promoted side did not make the acquisitions he recommended - after they had announced 12 departures.
This publication understands that the soft-spoken mentor has a good relationship with Magesi chairman Solly Makhubela and, as things stand, their standoff seems to have been addressed
This, after Dikwena announced 12 new signings last Friday, including former Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota and erstwhile Mamelodi Sundowns striker Gift Motupa.
Other coaches who have shown interest and applied for the Arrows head coach job include former Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson and Scottish coach Simon McMenemy.
