Supporters Forum - Golden Arrows' Rasta

In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to Lamontville Golden Arrows supporter "Rasta" about his long-standing affair with Abafana Bes'thende.

Name of supporter?

"My full name is Peter Vusimuzi Miya, in football I'm known as Rasta.

"I'm currently doing a temporary job at Haval South Africa."

Club supported?

"I've been supporting Arrows since the NPSL era. The likes of Jomo Sono were still playing those days.

"I was born in 1965, and I started supporting Arrows at the age of 11.

"I have never supported any team."

Are you happy with the bosses?

"I loved the way they are treating me. They are happy with the passion I'm showing.

"There are those who support the club just because it's from their neighbourhood, and there are those who are doing it because they have passion for the club.

"Me I follow the club everywhere; I even travel to Cape Town. I travel alone, not with the crowd. The bosses know the passion I have for the club."

Are you happy with the coach?

"These boys who are coaching Arrows did play for the club; these are our former players.

"They understand very well the club's culture and style of play. We don't kick the ball forward here we play it.

"Our style of play is similar to that of Mamelodi Sundowns."

Are you happy with the players?

"On Tuesday we lost 4-0 to Sundowns. But I know that was a wake-up call.

"We might have lost 4-0, but I know we will return the favour very soon."

Who do you want them to sign?

"I don't want to lie to you, we no longer have players here in South Africa. Talent is finished; hence we should groom youngsters."

"Available players are too old, they won't add anything to your team."

Your message to the team?

"My only concern is the home ground we are using currently, Hammarsdale is far, and supporters are struggling with transport fees, you have to pay R120 to attend a match.

"As for the team, our players know exactly what I want from them I always advise them during matches I never sit down."
