The discussions relating to veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune keep bubbling as he closes off his first month since the expiry of his contract at Kaizer Chiefs.
Khune is without a club after the non-renewal of his last deal on June 30, which the club indicated was his last playing contract at the club when he extended last year.

This means Khune's playing journey in the first team at Chiefs, which began with his debut against Jomo Cosmos in 2007, is now over.
His last appearance was on the day he was honoured in the match against Polokwane City in May when he also emphasised his desire to keep playing until he is 40.
"I strongly believe still has at least another two years to play," argues retired goalkeeper Avril Phali, who played for Jomo Cosmos and Orlando Pirates.
"Goalkeeping is not about running all over the pitch like other players but rather knowing how to manage and command.
"You must appreciate that in goalkeeping, you age like fine wine, meaning you get better with time.
"As a keeper, you are like the foundation of a house, which needs to be strong, and I still feel there are still clubs that need Itu beyond Chiefs.
"Itu is a modern keeper whose handling is tops and distribution the best.
"Khune still deserves two more years of playing time and that is what he should get.
"It is sad that it appears Khune and Chiefs are not feeling the same way about this.
"This is not how the career of a legendary keeper is supposed to end because I believe it is not over for Khune in as far as playing is concerned.
"I don't think Chiefs have found someone to replace Itu.
"When I think about this properly, I realise that there will never be a replacement for Khune at Chiefs.

"Why should Khune be forced to retire when keepers older than him are still playing?
"Itu is only 37 after all and as long as there isn't a proper replacement for him, then he should continue playing," argues Phali.
