As the PSL transfer window deadline day reaches the final stretch, Kickoff has the latest on Polokwane City winger Oswin Appollis.
Appollis has been a subject of intense speculation during the week, especially after his reported move to side MC Alger fell through in the last minute, before the transfer window closed in Algeria.
After Chiefs openly admitted admiration for the Bafana Bafana winger, the Glamour Boys appeared to be favourites to land his signature, after they had an initial bid rejected early in the transfer window.
However, as reported by Kickoff on Wednesday, Mamelodi Sundowns have entered the race for the 23-year-old and this website has been led to believe that as things stand, The Brazilians and Amakhosi are both pushing to acquire the City winger before midnight deadline.

This publication has reliably established that as of Friday, Appollis trained with Rise and Shine in their morning session as per normal, in preparation for their Betway Premiership encounter against Magesi in the Polokwane derby on Saturday.
In the meantime, the Bafana Bafana winger's agent Lance Davids has admitted that there are "several clubs" interested in his client before the transfer window slams shut by midnight, although no deal has been concluded yet.
"I've seen your request for an update on Oswin Appollis given the interest shown by several clubs," Davids wrote on his X account.
"As things stand, there is none - he remains contracted to Polokwane City.
"Any movements, you will be the first to know," Davids wrote.

Chiefs, in the market for a winger, have entered the last hours of acquiring a wide man and they may need to make a decision between Appollis and Cape Town Spurs winger Asanele Velebayi, as they are also in talks with the Urban Warriors for Velebayi, as revealed by this website.
Sundowns head coach Manqoba Mngqithi suggested on Tuesday in a post-match conference that he would take the opportunity to sign a player like Appollis "if an opportunity like that presents itself".
