Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane says the missed opportunities in the first leg came back to haunt the Soweto giants after being knocked out of the MTN8.
Chiefs were knocked out by Usuthu on away goals after they were tied on aggregate 1-1 from the goals scored in the semi-final first-leg.

Zwane says the KwaZulu-Natal side were playing to kill their rhythm with stoppages, as they enjoyed the advantage of the away goal.
"Ja, look I think whatever plan that we came with, at some point maybe get a goal, because we knew that they were going to kill the game off," Zwane told SuperSport TV.
"Slow it down, looking for fouls you know just to buy time and ja I think it was not meant to be, because we could have at least scored a goal, then open the game up.
"But composure inside the box, also decision-making here and there was not right but yes it was not meant to be."
Zwane was asked how disappointing it is to be knocked out in that way.
"Ja, look the goals we missed in Johannesburg you know they came back to haunt us, when you look at the number of chances that we created, clear-cut chances and we couldn't take one and actually scored one," he added.
"We could have at least scored two goals or three goals coming here to Durban, it would have been a different ball game altogether.
"Unfortunately we couldn't take those chances and they came back to haunt us and as you can see like I said earlier on, they were just playing to buy time.
"But at the same time they were dangerous because people were slowing the game down and increase the tempo all of a sudden.
"So we just needed a goal against the run of play to open the game up but we couldn't get one and unfortunately, I can't fault the guys, the performance, I think they tried their level best, it was not easy and yes it was not meant to be."
