Zwane sees positives from Chiefs' first away win

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane says there were plenty of positives from the win over Swallows FC despite their display in the second half.

Chiefs went into the halftime break with a two-goal lead courtesy of Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and Keagan Dolly.

However, Swallows pulled a goal back 22 minutes time through Waseem Isaacs while Wandisile Letlabika rattled the crossbar with a header late on as Chiefs held on for the slender win.

"Ja I think we started off very well today, we showed that we really wanted to win the game first-half," Zwane told SuperSport TV.

"We created a number of chances, we did not take them and we were in control of the game. We were dictating terms, scored two goals, which was very important for us.

"But I was obviously worried on my side about the second-half that we don't become complacent you know and we started very well but we started playing in patches and we brought back into the game and before actually they scored their goal you could see it coming, there was a warning and we tried to lift the boys up.

"'Listen, don't relax', we spoke about this and ja they got it and now we're under pressure, they could have easily equalised, which is something we need to work on.

"We can do better we know but I must commend the first-half performance. I think we just need to be consistent. If we can get it right when it comes that, I think we could have easily also on break attacks killed the game off

"We had about three, if I'm not mistaken, clear-cut chances that we could have, it was just a matter of decision-making in the final third but yes there's a lot of positives again, but second half we should have done far much better."
